Couple Identified in Sun City Center Murder-Suicide
Deputies responded after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has identified a couple found deceased in their home from an apparent murder-suicide on Friday. At 7:48 p.m. on September 28, a neighbor called 911 to report the sound of a gunshot at 2205 Preservation Green Court in Sun City Center. Deputies arrived to find female clothing scattered on the walkway leading up to the front door of the home. When deputies knocked on the door, no one answered.
Deputies were able to look through a front window, where they saw what appeared to be blood on the floor. Deputies entered the home through the unlocked front door. A male and a female, identified as Joseph Sutton, 74, and Karen Sutton, 73, were found deceased inside the home from obvious gunshot wounds.
The couple's next of kin has been notified.
