The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office located and arrested Robert Hubbard, a violent felony offender, on Thursday night.
Hubbard, 40, threatened patrons with a gun during an altercation last Monday, October 8, at a pub located at 7209 N Dale Mabry Highway. He fled the bar before deputies arrived. When they later located him in the area, Hubbard fled in his 2014 Kia, crashing the car before taking off on foot.
Hubbard was already wanted on charges including probation violation, using an altered ID, robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, grand theft, giving false information to a pawnbroker and dealing in stolen property.
Around 7 p.m. Thursday, District 3 deputies responded to 10707 Waterhole Place North in Tampa, after getting a tip that Hubbard could be hiding at the home.
Deputies watched the residence and confirmed that Hubbard was hiding inside. After trying to talk Hubbard out of the home, a K-9 was deployed and located Hubbard hiding inside a bedroom closet. Hubbard was removed from the home and treated on scene for a self-inflected neck injury. Hubbard was taken to St Joseph's hospital for his injuries.
