Lunay Ann Flores
Lunay Ann Flores, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Tampa General Hospital at approximately 12:43 p.m. from an undetermined medical issue while surrounded by her family and loved ones. Flores was arrested on December 23, 2018 for a violation of parole and was housed at the Falkenburg Road Jail in the medical unit since then. She was transported to the hospital around 4:00 a.m. last Saturday, January 12th, for a health related issue. At that time, she was alert, responsive and talking to staff members. Next of Kin has been notified.
Flores listed herself as an organ donor and was left on a respirator at the hospital until a suitable donor could be found. She was transferred to the Medical Examiner's physical custody last night where they will conduct an autopsy to determine a cause of death. As in any in-custody death, HCSO detectives are conducting an investigation. No foul play is suspected and there are no obvious signs of trauma.
This is a preliminary report and very early in the investigation. No other information is available at this time.
