The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating an emerging crime trend in our area involving individuals stealing from vacuum machines at gas stations.
Since March 21, 2019, deputies have received three complaints of unknown suspects breaking into vacuum machines at three different gas stations in Tampa and stealing a combined total of $877 in loose change. The locations targeted include the Circle K located at 12850 Morris Bridge Road in Thonotosassa, the 7-11 located at 5601 E Fletcher Avenue in Tampa, and the Circle K located at 14611 Bruce B. Downs Blvd in Tampa.
The suspects involved in the crime could be traveling in a white or faded tan work van of an unknown make and model and an unknown make and model pickup truck with a topper.
