On April 2
, an unknown white male entered the 7-Eleven located at 1902 U.S. Highway 301 North in Tampa around 4:25 a.m. asking for a pack of cigarettes. As the clerk placed the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun with a red laser and pointed it at the clerk, demanding money from the register.
The clerk complied, and the suspect fled the scene in a newer model black 4-door Honda sedan with silver rims. The vehicle was last seen driving westbound on East Broadway Avenue approaching the East Columbus Drive and East Broadway Avenue fork.
