On July 16
, 2019 at around 3:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 2300 block of Camden View Drive in Brandon in reference to a prowler call. The caller said she saw two black males, one wearing garden gloves, attempting to open her vehicle door while she was inside.
Units arrived in the area and observed a vehicle leaving the area. A deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle fled northbound on York Drive, but came to a stop at the dead end. The suspects bailed from the vehicle, which was reported stolen out of Hillsborough County.
K9 and Aviation responded to the scene, however, the suspects were not located. A search of the stolen vehicle, resulted in recovery of reported stolen property from the car burglaries.
Just before 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to the 1700 block of Orange Hill Drive in reference to a burglary vehicle just occurred, in which three black males were seen entering vehicles.
This area was just northeast of where the stolen vehicle was left. Upon arrival, the suspects fled on foot from the area.
Deputies began a search for the suspects. Marcus Malone, was found hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence. Malone had six pickup orders for Burglary and Grand Theft related crimes. With the assistance of Aviation and K9, units located and arrested the two other suspects, Raymond Trotman and Armario Gilbert.
All three suspects are now charged with nine counts of burglary and several other charges.
