    Drowning at Bullfrog Creek

    Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a drwoning.

    Around  2:47 p.m on July  31, 2019, deputies were called to Bullfrog Creek, off of Whispering Waters Ave in Gibsonton, for reports of a young boy who went under the water and didn't come back up.

    The first responding deputy, arriving at 2:51 p.m., immediately jumped in the water, trying to locate the boy  but was unsuccessful.

    The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office dive team was called to the scene and after about thirty minutes in the water located the 9-year-old boy.

    He was rushed to St. Joe's South where he was pronounced deceased. Right now, deputies are investigating this case, and no other details can be released at this time.

    All updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.
