The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is working to identify a possible witness in an armed robbery that occurred on May 19
. Around 10:15 p.m., a woman was inside the Corner Store, located at 2202 131st Avenue East in Tampa, when two unidentified black male suspects robbed the business. The suspects had an object that they portrayed as a firearm. They pressed the object into the left torso of the clerk, forcing him to open the cash register.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money and 3-5 packs of Newport cigarettes before fleeing the store in a silver car, similar to a Kia Optima. The woman in the store during the robbery was last seen wearing a black and white striped sundress, a black head scarf and black sandals. Detectives are hoping to talk to her to gain information about the incident.
