Charges: Driving Under the Influence (Over 0.15) and Child Neglect
Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 26
, 911 dispatchers were alerted by the Florida Highway Patrol of a vehicle traveling northbound on I-75 that was swerving in and out of its lane and nearly striking other vehicles. A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputy intercepted the vehicle north of Adamo Drive and conducted a traffic stop. Armando Luis Olivero, 38, was behind the wheel with his three children, ages 6, 7 and 8, in the vehicle as well. Olivero was arrested for DUI (BAC .176-.175) and Child Neglect. The abuse hotline was contacted.

The centralized DUI unit, which launched in April, has 20 deputies and two supervisors specially trained and dedicated to detecting and apprehending impaired and intoxicated drivers.
