The Buyer's initials are listed beside the Department, Division, Bureau, product or service description which they are assigned. Though the information about the types of products or services used by these areas is not totally inclusive or detailed, it is presumed that vendors will relate by common sense and experience to the areas most likely to have interest in their offerings. Buyers assist and support end users through various procurement processes determined by standard operating policies and Florida State Statutes. Buyers are responsible for: knowing bid clauses, bid language and formatting; fair, equitable and competitive methods of procurement; researching vendor responsibility; maintaining vendor database; obtaining additional quotes or issuing bids and RFP's based on end user parameters and specifications. Buyers do not make final decisions regarding end user needs.
